Offline address book not updating on Exchange 2010
Noticed that new Exchange users added some days ago are not appearing in Offline Address Book on Outlook 2010 clients. Users were appearing in on-line Global Address List (webmail, etc.)
First logged on to the Exchange 2010 server and run following Exchange Management Shell cmdlet:
get-offlineaddressbook |fl
LastTouchedTime was date couple of weeks old which meant that Offline Address List was not updating.
Tried to manually update Offline Address Book via Exchange Management Console and received following error:
Action 'Update' could not be performed on object Offline Address Book'.
Error:
Failed to generate the content of the offline address book "\Offline Address Book'. Two possible reasons for the failure are that the System Attendant Service is not running or you do not have permission to perform this operation. Error message: 'Error 0x6d9 (There are no more endpoints
available from the endpoint mapper) from RpcEpResolveBinding'.

Sophos Control Center fails to remove third party antivirus software (Error Code 00000049)
Sophos Control Center before installing antivirus on client computers by default finds and removes other third party antivirus software. This is a very handy feature as it allows to remove old antivirus solution and deploy Sophos without need to login on client computers locally.
Sometimes, however, Sophos refuses to remove third party software and installation fails with following error logged in Sophos Control Center:
Error: Installation Failed
Error Code: 00000049
Error Description: Cancelled Sophos installation and removal of third-party security software The software being removed may include a firewall or other component that is not being replaced Make sure the package you are installing provides equivalent protection to the package being removed.
As explained in error description, this means that third party contains some components not present in Sophos software you trying to deploy. For example firewall, browser protection, etc. Installation gets cancelled to avoid reducing level of protection you currently have.
