Download Windows 8.1 with Windows 8 product key
Microsoft's Upgrade Windows with only a product key website has two Windows download / upgrade tools: one for Windows 8, and another for Windows 8.1. Both tools require valid Windows key to download installation setup files. After that you can choose whether to upgrade Windows immediately or just create a bootable DVD or ISO file.
Windows 8.1 download tools requires Windows 8.1 license key and will not accept Windows 8 key. This doesn't make much sense as Windows 8.1 is a free upgrade for Windows 8 users. Luckily there is a little trick that allows to download 8.1 setup using Windows 8 serial key.

Acer W510 video driver crashes after update to Windows 8.1
- Acer W510 tablet / hybrid
- Intel Atom Processor Z2760 (Clovertrail)
- Windows 8.1
After updating Acer W510 to Windows 8.1 (and updating to the latest drivers provided by Acer), computer no longer resumes from sleep properly.
- Normally W510 resumes from sleep instantly, but now it takes 5-10 seconds.
- Occasionally after resuming from sleep, display would only show a pattern of black and white stripes. Putting computer back into the sleep mode and then waking it up normally fixes this without need to force power off.
- Very often after resuming from sleep Windows displays following pop-up:
Display driver stopped responding and has recovered.
