Cannot move a virtual machine from one Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V host to another. The move fails at the very beginning with the following error:

Hyper-V - The virtual machine cannot be moved

The virtual machine cannot be moved to the destination computer. The hardware on the destination computer is not compatible with the hardware requirements of this virtual machine.
Virtual machine migration operation failed at migration destination. The virtual machine is using processor-specific features not supported on physical computer <computer-name>.

Both servers were DELL PowerEdge running on Intel Xeon processors, but they were different generations. Enabling "Migrate to a physical computer with a different processor version" option in VM's settings can often resolve this error, but in this particular case, it didn't make any difference...

Migrate to a physical computer with a different processor version

In this instance, the move was successfully performed after shutting down the virtual machine and moving it in the shutdown state.
