Issue
Trying to move a virtual machine between Hyper-V 2016 hosts. Following error is displayed:
Live migrations are not enabled on this computer.
This computer is not configured for live migration of virtual machines. To enable live migration, modify the Hyper-V settings.
Resolution
To fix the issue perform following for both hosts in Hyper-V Manager:
- Right click on Hype-V host name and select Hyper-V Settings
- Click on Live Migrations and enable box Enable incoming and outgoing live migrations
