Issue

After upgrading Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, can no longer login using PIN code. Windows login screen only allows to login using full password and there is no Sign-In Options button.

Resolution

• Navigate to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options
• Within PIN section, click on I forgot my PIN
• Login to your Microsoft Account as requested, but cancel the process where it asks to create a new PIN
• Navigate to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC and delete everything within this folder
  You may need to take ownership and give yourself permissions to access NGC folder
  If NGC folder is empty, simply skip this step
• Now return to the Sign-in options page and create a new PIN
