Issue
Brother ADS-1700W document scanner does not reliably scan to a network share (hosted on Synology DiskStation NAS). Around 50% of the time the scan fails with the following error:
Server Time Out
You can check server settings using the Web Based Management by typing this machine's IP address into your web browser's address bar.
Resolution
The issue was resolved by replacing the server's DNS name with its IP address in the Network Folder Path for the scan folder.
