Issue
Opening TextEdit opens a Finder File Picker dialog instead of a blank text document.
Resolution
To fix the issue you need to disable TextEdit iCloud sync:
- Go to System Preferences > iCloud click on Options next to iCloud Drive and then uncheck TextEdit.
